Editorial policy

Three kinds of thing: statistics computed from the records we hold, short explanations of what a procedure physically involves, and review text as patients originally wrote it. Every statistic carries the number of records behind it, so you can see whether a figure came from 6 cases or 600. Explanations are written by our editorial team from published clinical literature, not from clinic marketing material.

Copy supplied by clinics is not published. Promotional phrasing — "the best", "number one", "guaranteed results" — is deleted rather than rewritten, because rewriting it would make it our sentence. We do not state whether a procedure works, how long any effect lasts, or whether it is safe for you; those are answers for the doctor who examines you. We also publish no clinic ranking, because an order we invented would carry more weight than the underlying data can support.

When a figure would rest on fewer than five records, we leave the field empty and mark the data as insufficient. A median price built from two receipts is not a price, and "88% satisfaction" derived from three reviews is not a satisfaction rate. Pages therefore differ from one another: some carry eight statistics, some carry three. That difference describes the state of the data, not a shortcut in the page.

No doctor reviews, approves or signs off anything here. The common practice in this market is to list physician names with no working relationship behind them; we do not do that, and we write plainly that there is no reviewer. It means everything here is reading you do before a consultation, never a replacement for one — and if your treating doctor contradicts this site, the doctor is right and we are wrong.
