About medisou
What medisou is
medisou is a reference site for people researching Korean cosmetic surgery and dermatology clinics from outside the country. We take review, price and before/after records that are already public in Korea, normalise the names used across them, and recalculate the statistics ourselves. That is why every number on the site carries the record count it was computed from. The site is published in English, Japanese, Thai, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, and each language is written and edited separately rather than converted from one master version.
What medisou is not
This is not a booking service and not a ranking of the "best" clinics. We do not decide which clinic you should go to, we do not judge whether a procedure suits you, and a clinic appearing here is not an endorsement of it. Where the data does not support a statement, the page says the data is insufficient instead of filling the gap.
Where the data comes from
The underlying records are Korean cosmetic-medicine reviews, price entries and before/after cases that patients and clinics had already published publicly. We collapse names that mean the same thing into one canonical procedure, map clinic addresses onto one area name each, and compute satisfaction, downtime and price from that. Procedure explanations are written by our editors from published clinical literature. Where a procedure is a Korean-only brand name with no independent literature behind it, we publish nothing rather than an estimate.
We are not a medical institution
No doctor is employed by medisou and we hold no medical licence of any kind. We take no bookings, arrange no consultations, act as no one’s intermediary, and receive no payment tied to whether you visit a clinic. Placement on this site cannot be bought, and no clinic has editorial control over its own page.
Contact
Corrections, removal requests and press enquiries go to hello@medisou.com. Please include the page URL and say what is wrong with it — a price that does not match, a clinic name spelled wrong, a review you want taken down. We reply in the five languages the site is published in. Data corrections take effect at the next rebuild, and the update date shown on the page changes with them.
