• Concerns before treatment My Issues: short nose and hump Consultation: there is only one Doctor at Cocoline and he is very patient and explained every single concern and question I asked with technical explanations. From my own personal experience, no other doctor I consulted with offered such extensive and in-depth technical explanations. Dr Kim specialises in natural results which was why I chose him out of the few doctors I consulted with. My friend had also gotten her surgery done here and her results were good. Selena turned out to be one of the better translators in this area of work. Not a single time did I feel that anything I said was misunderstood or misinterpreted. With her ability to put herself in your shoes and understand what your concerns are and her high level of translation skills, I genuinely feel that any patient going to Cocoline would feel safe with her around. Recovery process: I ended up requiring ear cartilage to be used as my septal cartilage was not enough. My hump was removed and a silicone bridge of 1.5mm was placed with 3mm moving towards the tip. I experienced much bruising after my surgery which took 3 weeks to fade. Though once the bruising was gone, the surgery results were so natural not even my family, colleagues and friends could tell that I have done it. The only discomfort I experienced were the first 2 days where the packing were still in my nose and I had to breathe through my mouth. I could not get it removed on the second day as the clinic was closed. However right after the packing was removed, I remember Dr Kim saying, “you will feel better starting from today” which I did. The clinic also provided very good post care, even giving me medication which I didn’t have to separately buy from pharmacy, and their post surgery care rooms are much better and more private than what I have experienced with other clinics (while doing different treatments). Everything was done with much care and professionalism and this is consistent with how the staff and clinic operates. My stitches were removed a week after my packing was taken of, I am now post 2.5 months of surgery and there is a barely noticeable shadow where the stitches once were. The clinic provides a cream for this area which allows the gradual fading of any post surgery scars. One advise I would give anyone else thinking of a rhinoplasty and going to Cocoline would be that during consultation, Dr Kim initially gave me a recommendation of a higher silicone bridge of between 2-3mm. As this is my primary surgery I was very conservative and told him about my concerns and showed him pictures of what I had photoshopped my nose to be, which he was respectful of and went with a lower silicone bridge of 1.5mm as a result. He truly gave me a copy and paste of my photoshopped results. On hindsight Dr Kim has a good aesthetic eye and I wish I went with his recommendation of a slightly higher silicone bridge instead, but this also shows how much Dr Kim respects and cares about what we as the patient thinks and our aesthetic eye instead of pushing his own. My overall advise would be to just trust Dr Kim that he would be able to deliver the best results suitable for your face. First 3 photos are before surgery, followed by 1 week post surgery, 1 month post surgery and 2.5 months post surgery I would highly recommend anyone to Cocoline, and if I ever want any further aesthetic changes to my nose due to age and time or changes in my aesthetic eye etc, I will definitely wish to come back to him again.
