• Concerns before treatment I’ve always had asymmetrical, sleepy, puffy, and small eyes and it’s been my greatest insecurity. • How was it before getting treated? In the consultation right before my surgery, the doctor suggested another procedure, epiblepharon correction. I wish he had brought it up during the first consultation so that I had more time to think about it and do my own research, not 30 minutes before my surgery. I opted not to get it because it was too last minute. • Results Swelling is bad and my vision is blurry most of the time, though I recognize this is very normal. I do not recommend getting this surgery as a tourist if you’re alone, best to have someone with you to help support you. As you will be disoriented immediately after surgery and vision will be bad for the next half week at least. It’s hard not to panic when my eyes are still uneven and look so scary. I’ve been telling myself that it’s just because the swelling is uneven and that it will fix itself over time. It has been less than a week since my surgery. Surprisingly, healing is not that painful. Sometimes my stitches may sting but it is tolerable even as someone with low pain tolerance. The surgery itself was not painful. It was about 2.5-3 hours. I think one of the stitches on my left eye is constantly poking my eyeball which is annoying, but the stitch is soft so it doesn’t hurt. The clinic offers complimentary red light therapy every 3 days, each session lasts 30 minutes. They also provided me with an English translator. • Comments I can’t say anything about my results yet as it hasn’t healed. I can’t tell if it’s good or bad. I hope it heals nicely and I can have pretty eyes… My rating is for everything else, such as the cost, the treatment from doctor and staff, and the clinic. There is a one year warranty for my surgery. I had originally wanted semi outline eyes, but the doctor said that he wouldn’t recommend it as it would cause sausage eyes. I ended up going with a in out line and the line height of his recommendation.
