• Concerns before treatment I wanted my nose to be more balanced in size/shape with the rest of my face. • How was it before getting treated? I contacted a few clinics in Seoul via Whatsapp in Dec 2025, for online consultation/quotes. After comparing all the responses, Cocoline was the top contender - based on their great communication (responsive, addressed exactly what I asked, weren’t pushy), their upfront explanation of pricing, and because their surgeon Dr Kim is an ENT specialist. I decided to book an in-person consultation with Cocoline. Because of my specific travel dates (from Australia), I paid 10% deposit to book a surgery timeslot (same day as consultation appt). Consultation appt: - First I had a CT scan and photos taken. - They had an excellent Korean/English translator present for every step of the way. - Dr Kim started the appt by asking me what I wanted/what my goal was. Once I explained that I wanted my nose to be more balanced with the rest of my face, he talked through his observations and suggestions for how he could do that. - Dr Kim explained that since every nose is different, he’d tailor his approach to what’s achievable/healthy for my nose and harmonious with my face. - I hadn’t originally planned to get the chin implant! It was something I had researched, but I was prioritising my nose instead. However, Dr Kim noted that if my goal was overall balance, making my nose more prominent could cause my chin to look smaller/weaker in comparison (was a fair point!). And since I was already going under general anaesthesia for the rhinoplasty, I could have a chin implant put in at the same time. I didn’t feel pressured, or like it was an upsell - I really appreciated having the option suggested to me. - Dr Kim used my CT scan, photos, and example diagrams to talk me through all the relevant info about the rhinoplasty and chin implant, then left the room to give me & my partner some time to talk and decide. • Results I ended up getting a rhinoplasty (silicone implant in nose bridge, bulbous nose-tip reduction, some of my septum cartilage used to increase tip projection), and a silicone implant in my chin. Surgery: - I was a bit nervous of course, but was definitely comforted by how well-organised and clean the clinic was. - Surgery took about 2 hours, and then I had an hour in a quiet recovery room to slowly wake up, sip water and chat with my partner. I got to go home after that, with a bag of post-op supplies provided by Cocoline (2x/day medication, ice pack, antiseptic gargle, ointment for the stitches inside my nose and lower lip, 15x pack of pumpkin juice for inflammation). There was barely any pain at all - by evening, I was able to have a light dinner and even do some walking/shopping! There were 2 follow-up appointments (included in surgery cost): - 1st appt was Day 1 post-op. Dr Kim removed the gauze packing from my nose (this was a bit painful! But it was over quickly, and then it was so good to breathe through my nose again) and checked the stitches. - 2nd appt was Day 6 post-op. They removed stitches and took off the thermoplastic splint (nose cast?). Dr Kim pointed out where the silicone implant & septal cartilage were in my nose, and explained the healing and gradual de-swelling process. I flew home to Australia on day 8 post-op - I felt really good about my decision to choose Cocoline, and so grateful for how smooth the whole process was. • Comments I’m 2 months post-op now, and SO HAPPY with how it all looks and feels. Dr Kim really achieved that balanced, subtle elegance that I tried to ask for in my consultation.
