• Concerns before the procedure My face is relatively long, and my philtrum is also long, which makes my facial proportions look unbalanced. Before the consultation, I read the feedback on Unni, and in Director Park’s philtrum reduction cases, the scars were not very noticeable. • Consultation Since I’m a foreigner, I wanted to decide on a clinic before going to Korea. The clinic thoughtfully arranged an online consultation, and both the director and the chief doctor were very kind. A translator also joined the call, so the whole process went smoothly and made me feel very reassured. However the clinic’s translator is not on site. It’s a pity there was no translator available during my follow-up visit. • Results When I actually went to the clinic, the doctor suggested shortening my philtrum by 5 mm, but said that achieving around 4 mm would be enough. After the surgery, the length of my philtrum did rebound as expected: originally 17 mm ➡️ 11 mm right after surgery (before the swelling went down) ➡️ now, at five months, it’s 13 mm. It’s looking more and more natural! The scar on my philtrum is barely noticeable, but the scar on my outer philtrum (lip line) is more visible. Btw, the operating bed was even heated hahaha. • Additional notes Director Park’s philtrum reduction seems to use a special stitching technique, so the scar is barely noticeable. Apart from the swelling, it wasn’t very painful. Overall, I highly recommend it. It will be better if there would be a translator available during my follow-up visit as well.
