• Concerns before treatment I visited Honesty Plastic Surgery 1.5 weeks ago for full face facial fat grafting and lip filler. Although I am still swollen, I am very satisfied with my results and I believe they will continue to improve. Dr. Dong-woo Jung performed my procedures. This is my third facial fat graft, as I have received two previous fat grafts from another clinic, which I did to resolve significant skin sagging issues. I had good results from those fat grafts but had some lumpiness in the overall facial contour and desired to correct this via a final touch up, aimed at filling and smoothing out any contour issues. These include things like slight asymmetry on one side, a slight depression on another, and slight volume loss from the fat resorption from my second fat graft. Due to cost issues, I could no longer go to my first clinic, so I went to this app to look for a more affordable clinic. I made a list of around 8 clinics with similar price ranges for full face fat grafting and did online consultations with each one. I had the best experience speaking to the consultant at Honesty, which is why I chose to come to this clinic. I felt like the consultant I spoke to understood my concerns and my aesthetic goals, and she was very accommodating in general. As a foreigner who does not speak Korean, it is a lot of work to deal with me compared to dealing with Korean customers, but Honesty’s staff were very patient with me even when I was making tons of different requests and asking tons of questions. I appreciated how the staff paid attention to my case on a personal level. I have previously been to a factory clinic for another procedure and this was very different from the factory experience. Honesty Plastic Surgery usually has an English-speaking staff member, but they were on leave when I came here, so I had to use translation apps to communicate, as I do not know Korean. At first, I was worried that the communication issues meant my surgery result would be compromised. However, during my in-person consultation with the clinic staff, I could tell they understood the aesthetics I liked, even though we were not communicating fluidly. This showed me they have a good understanding of aesthetics since they could understand me without language. After meeting with the consultant, I met with Dr. Jung, who I could tell also completely understood what I wanted from the start. This was very reassuring to me. Dr. Jung speaks some English (and has a very good bedside manner). I do not think my surgery result was negatively affected by the communication inconveniences. This was because the staff and Dr Jung could understand my mindset when it came to aesthetics, and we were able to overcome the language barrier with this mutual understanding. Most foreign patients should expect to have an easier experience than me when the English speaking staff member returns, so don’t worry. Dr. Jung took fat from my thighs. I was sedated, so this was a painless experience. When I woke up, I was able to rest for over an hour in the recovery room. I appreciated how I was able to rest and was not rushed out. There was no dizziness or pain. In total, I was at the clinic for 6 hours. Some fat graft clinics are in-and-out places that do things very quickly. I believe this long time commitment showed the doctor was working meticulously, instead of just trying to get the job done. My previous two facial fat grafts had significant amounts of dark bruising. I experienced no bruising on my face. However, I am still very swollen, so I am still waiting to return to daily life. I have bruising on my thighs and they were sore for several days after the surgery, but the pain was never at a level of severity that would interfere with my ability to move around. I could walk and carry things just fine. The pain from the leg liposuction is just an annoyance and you should not be scared of it. The full-face fat grafting is priced competitively. I was able to get fat grafted to my cheeks, temples, and forehead. When we were discussing my forehead, I was intending to say I wanted fat on the side of my forehead. Dr. Jung actually noticed the issue before I brought it up, which shows he has a good understanding of aesthetics. Before I could say the words, he was already pointing at the slight depression on the side of my forehead. This was something I forgot to mention to the consultant, so no one could have told Dr. Jung in advance. I felt reassured Dr. Jung and I saw things the same way. Some other clinics charge per area and charge much more for those areas, so this was a great value for the price. As we age, we begin losing volume from all parts of our face, so full-face grafting is a good solution for these issues. I highly recommend Dr. Dong-woo Jung from Honesty Plastic Surgery. I believe he and his clinic staff showed good understanding of aesthetics, high attention to detail, and good customer service.
