• Concerns before treatment I wanted to get it for a long time except havent found a good place that I liked until now. • How was it before getting treated? One thing that made my experience at Marble Plastic Surgery very comfortable was that they had an English-speaking consultant. Since my Korean isn’t very strong, this really helped me communicate clearly and feel at ease before meeting the doctor. I was able to discuss both double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty in detail, and the consultant explained everything thoroughly. For my rhinoplasty, I especially appreciated that they explained the main materials used for the procedure. At other clinics I visited, they didn’t go into detail at all, but at Marble they were very transparent and gave me clear explanations about every option. This made me feel much more confident about my decision. After Dr. Kim came in, he reviewed my CT scan and explained that my own nasal cartilage could not be used. He gave me a detailed explanation of the reasons, and I immediately understood why it wasn’t suitable. He then went over the different materials available for rhinoplasty. In the end, we decided on donated rib cartilage instead of autologous rib cartilage, because I didn’t want a surgical scar on my side. Dr. Kim also mentioned that even among patients who chose donated rib cartilage, only about 3% ever needed revision surgery, which reassured us and made us confident in our choice. So for my rhinoplasty, we proceeded with donated rib cartilage, ear cartilage, and silicone. Throughout this process, Dr. Kim remained calm, patient, and thorough in answering both my father’s and my questions. I also showed him some celebrity photos as references, and he compared them with actual before-and-after cases of his previous patients, which gave me a realistic expectation. What impressed me most was that Dr. Kim didn’t just focus on my nose or eyes separately—he measured my facial proportions, pointed out details like the spacing between my eyes, and explained how everything should harmonize together. It really showed me that he looks at the face as a whole, not just one feature at a time. My father also felt that this clinic was extremely professional. Although Marble was more expensive compared to other clinics we visited, both of us agreed that it gave us the strongest sense of trust and expertise. After the surgeries were finished, both the doctors and the consultant were very kind and attentive. Just like I had read in other reviews, everyone was genuinely caring, and the doctor struck me as being very meticulous. Even on the day of surgery, when I was quite fidgety and probably difficult to deal with, the staff still treated me with patience and kindness. For the eyelid surgery, I learned that it cannot be done under full anesthesia, which was honestly very difficult for me to endure. For someone like me who struggles to sit or lie still, the eyelid surgery felt quite tough. On the other hand, the rhinoplasty was surprisingly easy—I felt nothing at all, and it was just like falling asleep and waking up. I was most afraid of the nose surgery beforehand, but in the end, it was actually the eyelid surgery that felt the hardest, while the nose surgery was no problem at all. • Results Doctor Kim was very kind, even though I was very fidgety. He held my head and adjusted my position every time I felt the need to move. Seriously, thank you, Doctor Kim. For someone who has trouble sitting or lying in one spot doing nothing, that really helps. • Comments The consultant unnie was super great! I wasn’t sure if I needed an English translator since I could kind of get by, but she was amazing! Thank God I asked my dad to visit Marble before I made the decision about where to get the surgery.
