• Concerns before treatment I had VERY downturned lips naturally. I always looked mad or sad and it made me very insecure so for most of my life growing up I would hold the corners if my lip up into a straight line so that I could appear more approachable and pleasant. It took up so much of my mental energy focusing on appearing a certain way. I finally found a surgeon who can do a beautiful corner lip surgery and flew all the way from the USA to korea for it because in the USA they do corner lip lifts with very bad scarring, for some reason in the USA they extend the incision passed the lip border onto the sides of the lip and it looks like a weird indented scar when healed. In korea they perform corner lip lifts that stay along the borders of the lip which makes the scarring unnoticeable. I am 4 months post-op now and the results are incredible, no noticeable scarring at all and my life is completely changed. I no longer worry about if I look mad or sad, I look neutral and approachable now. I am extremely pleased with my result.
