• Concerns before treatment I wanted my eyes to be bigger My eyelid was uneven and my eyes were so tired looking I wanted to get incisional but the doctor advise to get non Incisional. I was wanted to see if i could be a canditate for epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty • How was it before getting treated? I’m sharing this experience to help others understand potential risks that may not be obvious immediately after surgery. I previously had non-incisional double eyelid surgery, and even before my revision, clearly there were concerns about eyelid collapse and poor crease stability. Despite this history, the surgeon still recommended another non-incisional approach, rather than reassessing whether this technique was appropriate for my eyelid structure. My eyes were pretty symmetrical shape - only the eyelids were collapsed. Needed to be refined again. • Results Unfortunately, the outcome was uneven and unnatural, particularly noticeable during facial expression. One eye behaves very differently from the other, creating visible asymmetry when I smile or talk. The eyelids do not move the same way, and the imbalance is obvious in real life and video, not just in photos. In addition to the uneven result, I was left with scarring, and there was also a thread left behind in one eye that was not removed. One side of the epicanthoplasty was also over exposed creating one eye shape to be completely different. This should not have happened and has added to both the physical and emotional discomfort from the procedure. After more than two years, the issues have not resolved on their own. The result remains uneven, stiff in motion, and aesthetically unsatisfactory. • Comments Overall staff was very friendly before and during surgery, but not very helpful after. Voiced concern since the day out of surgery due to dissatisfaction. request for medical file - little to no response. No resolution. Very dissappointing.
