I wanted to share my experience with double eyelid surgery…

• Concerns before treatment I wanted to share my experience with double eyelid surgery (Asian blepharoplasty) with upper canthoplasty in Korea. I’ve attached photos of before, recovery, and current results. I had my surgery in early December at Thank You Plastic Surgery in Korea with Dr. Kim Hyung-suk. What I wanted: I already had small double eyelids and was mainly looking for: -A higher crease line, remove the hooded flap so I can draw winged eyeliner -A semi-outline style Consultation: Dr. Kim speaks almost fluent English so consultation was very pleasant. During my consultation he examined my eyes and told me I was a good candidate for the non-incisional (buried suture) method, which I was happy about since I had only few days to stay in Korea. However, he explained that to achieve a semi-outline crease, I would also need upper canthoplasty, because of my eye structure. One thing I really appreciated was that during the consult, he used a wire tool to show in-outline vs semi-outline with different crease heights. We went through everything very carefully, and the result I have now looks almost exactly like what he showed me during the consultation. Dr. Kim took his time and spent almost 15 min just drawing on my eyes right before the surgery. Surgery & Recovery The surgery itself went smoothly, very quick, took about 40 min. I was sedated, didn't feel any pain, had bruising for about a week. At first, the crease line looked a bit uneven, which honestly worried me but as the swelling went down, it evened out naturally. Results so far So far I’m very happy with the results, nothing to complain, crease height and shape look natural and match what I asked for. Only downside would be the cost (relatively expensive compared to other clinics), but I'm happy that I paid little extra for a quality result.
