• Concerns before treatment I recently flew to Korea for a rhinoplasty at YUNO Plastic Surgery, and I wanted to share my experience in detail because reading Reddit reviews helped me so much during my research phase. Before choosing YUNO, I researched many clinics and spoke with several of them. What ultimately made me feel most comfortable with YUNO was how transparent, responsive, and honest they were from the very beginning. They answered all of my questions thoroughly, never rushed me, and I never felt pressured at any point. Communication was clear and consistent, which was incredibly reassuring as an international patient. Going into surgery, I was honestly very scared and unsure. However, from the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way. A huge part of this positive experience was their translator, Kristina. She is fluent in English, Korean, and Russian, and I genuinely cannot thank her enough. She was incredibly kind, patient, and always there for me throughout the entire process. Her replies were always super prompt whenever I had questions or concerns, and she made everything feel so much less overwhelming, especially during such an emotional and nerve-wracking time. My case was more complicated than a typical rhinoplasty. In the past, I had ELLANSÉ filler placed in my nose bridge and tip at another clinic (not in Korea). Unfortunately, it caused my nose to appear more bulbous and created a very visible bump that was actually caused by the filler itself. For anyone unfamiliar, ELLANSÉ is not dissolvable with hyaluronidase, meaning it must be physically removed during surgery, which adds both risk and complexity. During my consultation, Dr. Shinyoung Kim was extremely honest and transparent about these risks. He explained that the filler may have damaged my tissue or skin layer, and that there was a possibility of complications such as a dark spot on my nose bridge or visibility of donor cartilage. Instead of overpromising, he clearly explained that it is impossible to remove 100% of ELLANSÉ, but that he would try his absolute best. His honesty, confidence, and ability to communicate with me in English made me feel much more at ease and confident in my decision. After surgery, Dr. Kim informed me that he was able to successfully remove about 99% of the ELLANSÉ filler, and he even showed me a photo of what was removed. He reassured me that I would have a beautiful nose line and explained that my tip would initially appear very high, which is completely normal and will gradually drop. He also explained that swelling will continue to decrease over time, especially around the 6-month mark. At the moment, my nose is still very swollen (as expected), but I already feel confident and excited about my results and the healing process. More than anything, I’m grateful that I chose a clinic and surgeon who were honest, skilled, and supportive throughout a more complex case. For reference, the procedures I had done were: * Bridge augmentation * Tip surgery * Hump reduction * Bulbous nose correction * Columella correction * Foreign material (ELLANSÉ) removal * Osteotomy * Alar reduction During surgery, the surgeon decided that for a more secure and balanced result, a mild osteotomy and alar reductionwere necessary. These are procedures that usually come with additional fees, but they were done at no extra cost, which I really appreciated. If I ever decide to have any procedures done again in the future, I would 100% return to YUNO Plastic Surgery. I’m incredibly thankful to Dr. Shinyoung Kim, Kristina, and the entire YUNO team for making what could have been a terrifying experience feel safe, reassuring, and positive. If anyone has questions about YUNO or about rhinoplasty involving ELLANSÉ removal, feel free to ask, I know how stressful this research process can be. Disclosure: I did receive a discount for sharing my experience, but everything written above is my honest, personal experience and my own words. • How was it before getting treated? Overall i had a great experience here at YUNO and am so excited to see my final results!! Thank you Dr. Shinyoung Kim, Kristina and Yuno staff • Results There was almost no wait when a appointment slot was booked, everything was very smooth and seamless.
