• Concerns before treatment I am a foreign patient wanting to increase my breast size through breast implant surgery in South Korea. • How was it before getting treated? I saw that Girin had an event with a discounted price for breast surgery. I found out through Whatsapp consultation that the promotional price listed in the event is for domestic patients only. But a 20% discount was available for foreign patients. The consultation before surgery was very brief, if you don’t ask questions, the surgeon and the english coordinator will not give you any additional information. The surgeon did not make recommendations based on my preferences and reference photos. Instead, the recommendations were very generic and in my opinion, based on what is the most popular. The implant size suggestions did not feel personalised to my needs. • Results My surgery went well and my vitals were good. When I woke up from surgery, I noticed immediately that the implant size was not as big as I wanted. • Comments The surgeon and the surgery team took care of me and the English translator was very kind and helpful. The surgeon did a good job but it was not what I wanted. I am disappointed in my results and wish I pushed more during my consultation. I regret trusting the surgeons recommendation. I am upset that I did not receive a tax refund receipt after payment and I was shocked that this was not provided proactively, considering how many international patients visit Girin for procedures. I noticed that Girin is a factory-style clinic but nonetheless I was well cared for and there were no medical complications.
